About Autism Concepts Incorporated

Autism Concepts, Incorporated is a behavioral consulting company providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) and verbal behavior analysis (VBA) for children with autism spectrum disorders, language delays, challenging behaviors, and other developmental delays. We are experts in capturing a child’s motivation to enable him to have functional language, learn appropriate play skills, and socially engage with his peers.

Every child has the ability to communicate. We know how to make this happen.

ACI’s origin was parent-driven out a need for quality ABA services in the Kansas City area. When Nancy Champlin, Executive Director, started a center-based program with an emphasis on behaviorally-based social skills groups for preschool children in 2002, parents observed the tremendous benefits of a center-based facility. ACI has been helping children and their families ever since!

One of the reasons ACI stands out above the rest, is Ms. Champlin’s ongoing commitment to providing exemplary services for the individuals she serves, as well as their families. Once other professionals learned of Nancy’s vision, ACI was able to expand it’s services across the nation. ACI is proud to have a team of professionals who are life-long learners, impassioned to providing cutting-edge, research-based services.

ACI has been a leader in the ABA field by providing quality services for children with autism, family members and other professionals. ACI offers highly-trained therapists who provide one-to-one sessions, extensive availability of required materials, increased opportunities for social interactions with same-age peers, weekly parent observations, monthly parent trainings, consultations for challenging behaviors occurring at home, and a licensed psychologist on staff for diagnostics and extensive parent trainings.
